Aeon Credit Service has launched its 13th senior sukuk issuance worth RM550 million under its RM5 billion Sukuk Wakalah Programme. The issuance comes with a tenure of six years and is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its Islamic financing operations.
In a filing with, the company stated that the proceeds raised from the sukuk issuance will be used to support Shariah-compliant financing activities carried out in the normal course of business.
AEON Credit said the funds will mainly be channelled towards financing disbursements for customers through Islamic consumer financing solutions. The company also noted that part of the proceeds may be utilised to refinance existing loans, financing facilities, or sukuk previously issued by the company.
The company emphasised that all proceeds utilised under the Sukuk Wakalah Programme will strictly comply with Shariah principles and requirements.
The latest issuance reflects the continued growth of the Islamic finance sector in Malaysia and highlights AEON Credit’s commitment to expanding its Shariah-compliant financial services portfolio.
