Cashku has partnered with Muamalat Invest to expand access to Shariah-compliant investment products through its digital wealth management platform. The collaboration will enable eligible users to invest in a range of Islamic investment funds through a single application, broadening access to investment opportunities designed to comply with Islamic principles.
According to a report by Startup Rise, the platform will offer access to money market funds, Sukuk funds, Malaysian and global equity funds, gold funds and Shariah-compliant private credit funds. The investment products will be available without sales charges, providing eligible investors with a digital channel to explore different Shariah-compliant investment options.
Muamalat Invest is the Islamic fund management arm of Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad. Through this partnership, the company aims to extend the digital distribution of its investment products beyond the bank’s existing channels and reach a broader range of potential investors through Cashku’s platform.
The investment options will be subject to eligibility requirements. Retail funds will be available to eligible Cashku users, while wholesale funds, including private credit products, will be restricted to investors who satisfy the Securities Commission Malaysia’s criteria for sophisticated investors. Cashku has stated that it evaluates users’ eligibility and investment suitability during the onboarding process to help ensure that access to investment products aligns with the applicable requirements.
The partnership follows Cashku’s earlier distribution agreement with Kenanga Investors, announced in September 2026. That collaboration introduced selected investment funds to the platform with a minimum investment of RM10 and no sales charges. The agreement with Muamalat Invest further expands the range of investment products available through Cashku’s digital wealth management services.
The collaboration comes amid continued growth in Malaysia’s Islamic capital market. Citing the Securities Commission Malaysia’s Annual Report 2025, Cashku reported that the country’s Islamic capital market grew by 4.31% to RM2.7 trillion in 2025, accounting for approximately 63% of the domestic capital market. Islamic assets under management increased by 11.35% year-on-year to RM274.01 billion, compared with growth of 6.9% across the broader fund management industry.
The partnership highlights the growing role of digital platforms in expanding access to Islamic investment products. By combining digital distribution with a broader selection of Shariah-compliant funds, Cashku and Muamalat Invest aim to provide eligible investors with greater convenience and more choices for participating in Malaysia’s Islamic investment market.
