Kuala Lumpur, [Insert Date] – IHH Healthcare Berhad (IHH) has announced that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Pantai Holdings Sdn Bhd, has successfully completed the second issuance of its Sukuk Wakalah under the group’s Islamic Commercial Paper (ICP) and Islamic Medium-Term Notes (IMTN) Programmes.
Structured under the Shariah principle of Wakalah Bi Al-Istithmar, the dual programmes carry a combined aggregate limit of up to RM15 billion in nominal value. The latest issuance comprises RM1.0 billion in Islamic Commercial Papers (ICP) with a tenure of 364 days, as well as two tranches of Islamic Medium-Term Notes (IMTN) amounting to RM600 million with a one-year tenure and RM750 million with a five-year tenure.
According to IHH, the Sukuk Wakalah Programmes allow the Group to raise Shariah-compliant funding to support its business growth and expansion strategies. The proceeds will also enhance financial flexibility for the Group’s healthcare operations across multiple markets.
This issuance marks Pantai Holdings’ second Sukuk issuance under the RM15 billion programme, following the successful inaugural launch in 2024. The Group’s continued success in accessing the Sukuk market reflects investor confidence in IHH’s strong financial position and long-term growth prospects.
