London Forum Advances Global Islamic Finance Dialogue

2nd London Forum on Islamic Banking and Finance brings global experts together to shape the future of ethical and Shariah-compliant finance

(August 24, 2026 – Dubai, UAE): AlHuda Centre of Islamic Banking and Economics (AlHuda CIBE) successfully hosted the 2nd London Forum on Islamic Banking and Finance in London. The high-level forum focused on the future of Islamic and ethical finance in one of the world’s leading financial hubs. Held at the Islamic Cultural Centre in London, the forum brought together senior industry executives, Shariah scholars, regulators, policymakers, investors, academics, and Islamic FinTech professionals. The event provided a platform for strategic dialogue, knowledge sharing, networking, and cross-border collaboration.

The forum addressed key developments in the UK and European Islamic finance markets. Discussions covered the evolving landscape of Islamic banking, regulatory developments, FinTech, open banking, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. Participants also explored the growing role of Sukuk and Shariah-compliant capital markets. ESG and sustainable Islamic finance were also important areas of discussion.

Another major focus was Takaful, microfinance, and financial inclusion. The forum brought together experts to discuss the evolving landscape of Islamic banking and finance in the UK and Europe. Discussions covered market growth, regulatory developments, the integration of Islamic finance into conventional banking infrastructure, and the impact of Open Banking, Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation. Speakers also explored Sukuk structures, Shariah-compliant investment products, institutional investment, ESG and sustainable Islamic finance. The discussions further highlighted the growth of Takaful, micro-Takaful and Islamic microfinance, with a focus on financial inclusion, economic empowerment and regulatory development in Western markets.

Speakers discussed the expansion of Takaful in Western markets. They also examined innovative micro-Takaful models and the role of Islamic microfinance in economic empowerment and sustainable development.
